Vedo is a 21-year old American singer, songwriter and entertainer most
recognized for his stellar performances on season four of NBC’s popular
talent competition, The Voice. Born and raised in Benton Harbor,
Michigan Vedo began singing at the age of 9 when his mother discovered
his vocal ability was above average, impressing anyone that heard his
distinct tone, range and perfect pitch. Although his voice was certainly
a gift, it was a curse as well, bringing more attention than many of
his peers in the form of admiring girls and fast crowds. His childhood
wasn’t easy, moving from place to place, homeless more often than not
and as a result, Vedo developed a tough attitude that eventually led to
trouble in school, fighting and not achieving his true scholastic
potential so in 2008, Vedo’s mother decided he needed a change and
moving to Atlanta, GA with his father was it. Vedo did not want to leave
his mother and friends behind, however, that decision became a blessing
in disguise and an integral part of the journey to his dream.
Upon arriving in a new city filled with talent and opportunity,
Vedo’s passion for music intensified as well as his focus on academics,
becoming an A and B student at Southwest DeKalb High School. He was
inspired to delve into his inner songwriter and perfect his vocals;
these efforts combined with his natural ability led to Vedo becoming one
of the top finalists on The Voice and writing songs for major label
recording artists and highly acclaimed music producer Troy Taylor.
In addition Vedo has remained dedicated to honing his skills as an
all around performer, engaging his audience with his physical command of
the stage, incorporating cutting edge dance moves and pure passion into
every show. In a short period of time, Vedo has garnered the respect of
peers and veterans of the music industry alike.
History has shown many great singers experience adversity at their breakthrough moment and Vedo is no
exception. When auditioning for The Voice, his mother was diagnosed
with Stage 4 lung cancer and although she was able to see his blind
audition that wowed R&B singer and Voice judge Usher, she sadly
passed away one month before his national debut. Many could not have
made it past such a difficult time but Vedo used the loss of his mother
as his strength, singing his heart out week to week in her honor. And
though The Voice is behind him, he says “I’m still striving to make her
proud...I know she’s watching.” Ever since this life changing event, he
has spent his free time volunteering for campaigns that speak to his own
personal experiences such as the Lung Cancer Alliance, singing for
Atlanta’s Channel 11 telethon to assist the Oklahoma Tornado victims,
performing for the Toyz N Tha Hood Tour in Atlanta with the Hitman DJ’s
and participating in the Hosea Williams Feed the Hungry and Homeless
campaign.
Vedo currently resides in Atlanta and continues to work on his album
while lending his melodic voice and life experience through lyric to
others.

having stated with the likes of Angel Di Maria, an established and experienced player, who couldn’t make it at United but we all wish him well.” Meanwhile Jose Mourinho side Chelsea have also completed the signing of 26 year old defender Papy Djilobodji from Nantes for £2.7m
The 26-year-old signs a four-year deal at Stamford Bridge.
"I’m very happy to sign for a big club like Chelsea and I want to do my best to help the team win titles," he said.
"I want to thank the club for giving me this opportunity." The Blues were left frustrated
after their efforts to sign John Stones from Everton were knocked back
but have responded by signing the Senegal defender.
Chelsea are expected to sign Michael Hector from Reading for £4million - but he will be loaned back to the Championship club.
PREMIER League star John Obi Mikel has fathered two secret love children with different women, The Sun on Sunday can reveal.
The Chelsea midfielder, 28, has a four-year-old son who was born after he had a brief fling with the lad’s mum.
He also has a one-year-old daughter by a woman he met in a nightclub two years ago.
Nigeria international Mikel, whose team were beaten at home by
Crystal Palace yesterday, is now dating Russian businesswoman Olga
Diyachenko and has posted online photographs of the pair together.

The footballer — paid about £80,000 a week — is not named on his
son’s birth certificate, but bought a house in the Home Counties where
the boy lives with his mother.
Mikel paid more than £500,000 for the detached property in 2013.
He is said to have expressed a desire to play a part in the boy’s
life — even though he at first refused to believe he was the dad. However Mikel is not believed to see his baby daughter, who lives with her 23-year-old mother in the South of England.
Both women are supported financially by the player, but it is not thought they know about each other.
A source revealed Mikel, a role model to legions of fans of Chelsea
and Nigeria, did not believe the boy was his when first told by his mum.
Seems like John has had a lot more playing time off the pitch than on it Richard Pelham
The source said: “They met ages ago when John invited her — and a
friend, I think — to an after-party after some London celebrity event.
“She got together with John briefly and ended up pregnant.
“She got in touch with John and told him about it, but he initially
refused to accept or believe the baby was his. His name was not on the
birth certificate.
“After the baby was born there were some negotiations about it. He
then agreed to pay her a decent amount of money. She was allocated money
to buy a house.”
The mum moved to the Home Counties after the property purchase. Our
source added: “John also agreed to give her tens of thousands a year in
upkeep and, I think, agreed to give her a new car every three to five
years.
“He said he wanted to play a role in the boy’s life.
He and the mum are on friendly terms and she doesn’t harbour any bad
feelings towards him, perhaps because he’s looked after her so well.
“When you think about it, it is not that surprising John has not moved away from Chelsea.
“I have read things about him going, possibly abroad, but the people
saying that might happen would not know that he has a son and a daughter
in the UK.”
When his son was two, Mikel had a short relationship with the mother
of his daughter after apparently meeting her at a nightclub in London
during 2013. The girl was born last year, but again Mikel’s name did not appear on her birth certificate.
A friend of the tot’s mother said: “John has provided for her
and the girl, but does not seem to want to be involved with the child.
“She is not from a well-off family and does not now earn much, but she drives around in a new car.
“She seems to have come into money since having the baby and is keeping a low profile.”
Mikel, a huge name in his native Nigeria, has spoken previously about
his love life and about how difficult it is to find a wife and the
importance of his family at home.
Recent photos show him with Olga in his car, while there are also
pictures of his two rottweiler dogs Troy and Diva. He is also seen
relaxing in his swimming pool and sitting at a kitchen table.
Talking to journalists in Nigeria last October, he said: “I’ve been
dating seriously for two years now, I’m in love. I’ve found love.” However he has denied being engaged to Olga and vowed to reveal if he popped the question.

Boko Haram is trying to expand its
activities beyond Nigeria's mainly Muslim north, to include the
commercial capital Lagos, as well as other parts of the country,
officials say.
Nigeria's intelligence agency says 12 members of the Islamist militant group have been arrested in Lagos since July.
It is not possible to independently verify details of the statement.
Boko Haram has waged a six-year insurgency in Nigeria, mainly in the north-east of the country.
Authorities
arrested other self-confessed Boko Haram members in the south-eastern
city of Enugu as well as other parts of central and northern Nigeria,
the Department of State Services (DSS) said in a statement.
The DSS attributes the attempted expansion of Boko
Haram into southern areas to the increased pressure the group is under
in its north-eastern heartland.
However, the BBC's Will Ross in
Lagos says the group is still causing havoc in the north-east, with
reports that more than 50 people were killed in an attack in Borno State
on Friday, about 100km (62 miles) north of the state capital Maiduguri.
Will Ross, BBC News, Lagos
For
many in Lagos it will be alarming to hear that a dozen Boko Haram
members have been arrested here in recent weeks. I have often been told
by Lagosians that the jihadist group would never dare attack this city,
which seems more naive than reassuring, especially as there was an
attempt to bomb a fuel depot last year.
The announcement from the
secret police, known as the DSS, came just a day after another
statement told us a teenager had been picked up inside Abuja airport
where he was gathering intelligence for Boko Haram - another disturbing
bit of news.
The DSS says the arrests have helped avert
"devastating attacks" and that "notable commanders and frontline
members" have been rounded up.
We have no way of independently
verifying the information in the statements but it is worth noting that
all the security departments are under pressure to demonstrate that they
are having an impact against Boko Haram, especially as President
Muhammadu Buhari has made tackling the jihadist insurgency a priority
and is still making senior appointments.
A new DSS director general was appointed in early July and the latest statement says the arrests began the very next week.

Nigeria, is to spend the rest of the season on loan with the second

the team. When I’m in the red shirt, I will always give my very best to

It

Yesil’s deal is also a season-long loan switch. The 21-year-old
German signed for Liverpool from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer of 2012
and went on to make two first-team appearances for the Merseysiders in
his first campaign with them, his only ones to date.
Canos has agreed a deal that will see him work with the Championship
side until 3 January. The 18-year-old Spaniard, yet to make a senior
appearance for Liverpool, joined the Reds in the summer of 2013 from
Barcelona. He is a product of the Catalan giants’ famed La Masia
